The Pied Piper children’s shoe shop was opened in Dumfries town centre in 2009 by local mum and former teacher, Jan Cochrane and celebrated ten years in business in 2019 with a move to bigger and brighter premises on the High Street.

Jan's commitment to supplying quality designer shoes for kids and ensuring they fit your child’s feet properly has been the hallmark of her business ever since.

With an impressive collection of children’s footwear from both the UK and abroad, measuring from a tiny size 2 up to a big size 7, you can be sure that when you buy your children’s shoes at The Pied Piper, great care will be taken to measure your child’s feet and ensure a correct fit every time.

“As a mum myself, I know how important it is that your children’s shoes are not only up-to-date with the latest trends and styles, but that they fit properly, as ill-fitting shoes can cause a lifetime of painful foot conditions,” says Jan.

“As a parent, our children’s health is paramount, but we often forget about the health of their feet. That’s why we always measure your children’s feet carefully to ensure that their new shoes actually fit them properly to avoid foot problems in later life.
